Overview:
The flap check valve, also known as the swing check valve, is a common valve type used to control fluids flowing in one direction. It has a unique structure and working principle that can effectively prevent fluid from flowing back and ensure that the fluid flows in a specific direction.
The main components of the flap check valve include the valve body, valve cover and flap. The valve body and bonnet are usually made of metal, while the flaps are made of elastic materials such as rubber or plastic. There is a circular channel inside the valve body, through which fluid can pass smoothly during forward flow. However, during reverse flow, the flaps will close the channel to prevent the reverse flow of fluid.
The working principle of the flap check valve is based on the principle of fluid dynamics. When the fluid flows in the forward direction, the pressure of the fluid acts on the flaps, causing them to tilt backwards and open the channel so that the fluid can pass freely. When the fluid tries to flow in the reverse direction, pressure will act on the other side of the flap, causing it to quickly close the channel and prevent the fluid from flowing back. This design enables the flap check valve to have fast response and reliable sealing performance.
